12 Summer Skincare Products: Travel Edition
1.) Hydroflask (although not directly a skincare product-H20 is very important for the skin)
One of the biggest components of good skin is hydration and I LOVE my Hydroflask for this reason. It keeps my water cold all day long and is super easy to refill along the way. Traveling tends to cause water retention for me, so the more I drink the better off I am, but the worse off the person in the aisle seat on the plane is......(small bladder problems).
2.) ChapStick Total Hydration Vitamin Enriched Lip Night Serum, Night Lip Serum for Overnight Lip Care (I use during the day too)
I was never a huge Chapstick fan, but WOW this stuff is good! It tastes amazing too. I even put this to the test when I was out skiing in Breckinridge and it helped prefer my lips my from chapping. I highly recommend!
3.) Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder Mini Size
I keep this in my plane bag to freshen and brighten up after landing! There are numerous setting powders on the market, but this one wins for me every time and there is even a mini size for traveling – SO cute and convenient!
4.) NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer
This tiny product packs more coverage then you can dream up! Dark circles, hyperpigmentation, acne, you name.....it has your back! Pro tip: Keep it in your plane bag to cover up those “designer” bags under your eyes after a long day of travel.
5.). Dose of Colors Lipgloss Shade - On Repeat
My sister turned me onto this amazing lip gloss. The color is super neutral with just a hint of color to make your lips pop! It is also very hydrating and easy to travel with. This is my go-to gloss always!
6.) Clearly Brighter Anti-Dark Circle Eye Roller - Light/MediumGarnier SkinActive
I wrote about this in a previous blog post and I will say it again, THIS is a holy grail product that I will continue to repurchase. My other sister who is a model in NYC recently told me all the makeup artists have this handy little assistant in their bag ready to use on the models! If you struggle with dark circles and puffiness under your eyes.....this product is for you! I tend to get extra puffy on vacation and this eye roller immediately makes my skin look brighter and more awake.
7.) Summer Friday's Jet Lag Mask
I use this on the plane, in the hotel as a mask, as a nighttime moisturizer and as an eye cream while traveling. This keeps my skin looking plump and fresh.
8.) Supergoop The Matte Prime & Reapply SPF Set
This is one of my favorite primers. I actually did not know it was a primer at first. I thought it was just sunscreen. After applying my makeup, I could not believe how smooth everything looked and felt. I also LOVE the brush to reapply on the go. If you only bring ONE thing on your travels make sure it is SPF!!
9.) ZO SKIN HEALTH CORRECT + CONCEAL - LIGHT
I struggle with acne from time to time and adding vacation factors such an environmental and food changes tend to upset my skin. I always have my ZO spot corrector on hand that not only conceals but helps treat any blemishes I have while away. It is a spot corrector and concealer that erases the visible signs of skin imperfections while gently exfoliating pore-clogging dead skin cells and dirt.
10.) ZO SKIN HEALTH GENTLE CLEANSER (TRAVEL SIZE)
This cleanser is a two in one for me. It removes my makeup and cleanses my face. It has a great smell and texture! It can be a little harsh on the eyes so I use our Skincare Scrunchies to remove most of my eye makeup first!
11.) Tatcha The Water Cream Oil-Free Pore Minimizing Moisturizer Mini Size
I always select this sample at Sephora if it is available. This moisturizer feels like silk on your skin! It is so light yet so hydrating. The funny thing is, I have never purchased the larger size. I really only use when traveling. It is like a special treat for me when on vacation!
12.) Skinchies
These handy dandy skin care assistants go everywhere with me. They catch all the water from dripping down my arms and onto the countertops, they remove makeup with just water and dry my hair faster! Pro-tip: Use the hotel hair dryer to dry them out before packing them OR wear one in your hair and one on your wrist when you travel!
